Cristinel Alexe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Gârleanu in the 18th minute of play. Cristinel Alexe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandru Iosif in the 27th minute. Sever Traian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Ghimiș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC aDeX's Paul Balaci got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 34 played minutes FC aDeX got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Gârleanu. Paul Balaci struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Cristinel Alexe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC aDeX. The supporters of FC aDeX booed when Champions Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toader Răducanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, FC aDeX's George Bogdănescu tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 46 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Manole Crașovan. Champions Iasi's Cristinel Alexe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Champions Iasi from getting a goal against them. Cristinel Alexe was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Alexandru Iosif capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alexandru Iosif really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandru Iosif stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Steve Golding fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC aDeX's protests and gave Steve Golding a yellow card for diving instead. Champions Iasi's Aurelian Iosif was substituted for Leontin Hâldan. A collision led to FC aDeX getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Steve Golding hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's Adam Ghimiș broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Drumeș in the 60th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Cristinel Alexe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristinel Alexe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Gârleanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Iosif came free, but Cristinel Alexe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Iosif in the 68th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Cristinel Alexe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Alexandru Iosif got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maríus Tresor charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maríus Tresor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Champions Iasi. Adam Ghimiș stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sever Traian. 1-1. Edgar Drumeș charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar Drumeș the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 89 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Drumeș. After a defensive mix-up in FC aDeX's zone, Aurelian Iosif stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sever Traian came out of the goal and Aurelian Iosif tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 98th minute, one of Champions Iasi:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Champions Iasi.
