If Ion Ologu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petre Irod made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Giubelean in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of FC Buciumii booed when Delphine Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Chira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Petru Plopeanu came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the FC Buciumii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petru Plopeanu couldn't finish the play. In the 14th match minute, Delphine Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasile Chira to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Sorin Răducu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petre Irod showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Giubelean, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The FC Buciumii fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when FC Buciumii's Sebastian Giubelean looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 27th minute Ion Ologu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Ştiubei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelian Ştiubei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Istrate in the 29th minute of play. Ion Ologu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Aurelian Ştiubei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Buciumii getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Laurențiu Taşcău hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, FC Buciumii's goalkeeper Aurelian Ştiubei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucrețiu Istrate. After 35 played minutes Delphine Stars got a freekick which was hit by Ion Ologu. In the 36th minute Sebastian Giubelean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Irod saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Taşcău in the 43rd minute of play forced FC Buciumii's goalkeeper Aurelian Ştiubei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucrețiu Istrate hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ion Ologu to strike the kick off in the second half. Filip Trifan kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Lucrețiu Istrate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Lucrețiu Istrate had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelian Ştiubei. FC Buciumii's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucrețiu Istrate was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. FC Buciumii's Aurelian Ştiubei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Istrate in the 68th minute of play. Sebastian Giubelean who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Petre Irod when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Laurențiu Dinescu kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Delphine Stars's Lucrețiu Istrate nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurelian Ştiubei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 82 minutes into the match, FC Buciumii's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Taşcău came free, but Aurelian Ştiubei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Istrate in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Buciumii's goalkeeper Aurelian Ştiubei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sebastian Giubelean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelian Ştiubei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Taşcău in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Marian Taşcău managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Delphine Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marian Taşcău was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the FC Buciumii defense, Ion Ologu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelian Ştiubei. The FC Buciumii fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelian Ştiubei should have stopped the shot. Delphine Stars's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
