The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rokita Brzeg Dolny's Sebastian Fronczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Bara in the 3rd minute of play. Sebastian Fronczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Czeslaw Wykowski in the 4th minute of the match. Czeslaw Wykowski took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Fronczak. Sebastian Fronczak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Rokita Brzeg Dolny's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Bara came free, but Sebastian Fronczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 9 played minutes LKS Wasik Lidzbark got a freekick which was hit by Franciszek Czekaj. Zygmunt Juzda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Furlit, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. LKS Wasik Lidzbark's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jerzy Jajko 20 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. A collision led to LKS Wasik Lidzbark getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Tomasz Osielski hit a great ball. Jerzy Jajko took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zygmunt Juzda. Zygmunt Juzda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerzy Jajko in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zygmunt Juzda saved LKS Wasik Lidzbark from getting behind. In the 29th minute, Alfred Bara made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Fronczak. Rokita Brzeg Dolny's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After a rather tough play, Rokita Brzeg Dolny's Zbigniew Lampa got a free kick in the 39th minute. Sebastian Fronczak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfred Bara went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Czeslaw Wykowski to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes LKS Wasik Lidzbark got a freekick which was hit by Eugeniusz Skrzypiec. The supporters of Rokita Brzeg Dolny booed when LKS Wasik Lidzbark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Bara didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, LKS Wasik Lidzbark's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Jajko came free, but Zygmunt Juzda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Fronczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Bara in the 68th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Alfred Bara made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Fronczak. Rokita Brzeg Dolny's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. Alfred Bara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Fronczak having to interfere. If Leonard Sroki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Fronczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Bara in the 96th minute of play. In the 98th minute LKS Wasik Lidzbark were awarded a corner. Norbert Serwach went to the cornerflag to take it. LKS Wasik Lidzbark's Norbert Serwach was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sebastian Fronczak in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The LKS Wasik Lidzbark supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing LKS Wasik Lidzbark would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
