In the 5th match minute, FC MatriX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julius Vismann to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute Vladislav Hampejs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Arula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC MatriX's Alan Arula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 任正振 in the 9th minute of play. Alan Arula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 任正振 in the 10th minute of play. Alan Arula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Militaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 played minutes FC MatriX got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Lätti. Marcel Militaru took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alan Arula. FC MatriX's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the FC MatriX defense, Vladislav Hampejs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alan Arula. The FC MatriX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alan Arula should have stopped the shot. Julius Vismann took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olaf Sortsø. Olaf Sortsø dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jaak Suurkaev hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladislav Hampejs in the 26th minute of play forced FC MatriX's goalkeeper Alan Arula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moritz Holmaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Militaru couldn't finish the play. Marcel Militaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Alan Arula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The FC MatriX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alan Arula should have stopped the shot. After the first half Pheonix FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 任正振 was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Teet Harju hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute Vladislav Hampejs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Arula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alan Arula was a little too slow when Vladislav Hampejs got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 2-4. After 79 played minutes Pheonix FC got a freekick which was hit by Bjarke Amstorp. The audience was convinced that 任正振's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alan Arula was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Alan Arula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladislav Hampejs in the 82nd minute of play.
