After 7 minutes, Nicholas Sercombe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arrows Academy FC and the Sletteenge players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arrows Academy FC:s Frankie Child showed great skill when he stopped Gunner Tesgaard:s penalty. After some careless play in the Arrows Academy FC defense, Gunner Tesgaard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frankie Child. The Arrows Academy FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frankie Child should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Kay Fyhr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sletteenge's supporters rose to their feet, but Kay Fyhr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frankie Child breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee ignored Arrows Academy FC's protests and gave Kev Burkinshaw a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute Volmer Frimand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frankie Child saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Ralph Nielans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Volmer Frimand scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frankie Child, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Philip Nevin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Klavs Jarltoft when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Danny Parks hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Frankie Child showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kay Fyhr in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Arrows Academy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Volmer Frimand came free, but Frankie Child reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Philip Nevin made a kick off. Klavs Jarltoft took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wes Bray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Arrows Academy FC's Frankie Child got control of the ball when Volmer Frimand tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kay Fyhr's late challenge caught a Arrows Academy FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kay Fyhr helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Arrows Academy FC booed when Sletteenge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sletteenge's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
