After a defensive mix-up in Les diables noirs's zone, Enrico Tassotti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martial Laude came out of the goal and Enrico Tassotti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Les diables noirs's Kamel Cussac got a free kick in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Gonzo Style f.c's Enrico Tassotti got a free kick in the 17th minute. Enrico Tassotti scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martial Laude, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Les diables noirs's Martial Laude played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrico Tassotti in the 23rd minute of play. Mario Vauzelle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Federico Marsilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Federico Marsilio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrico Tassotti in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martial Laude prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Gonzo Style f.c's zone, Sam Bertholet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Marsilio came out of the goal and Sam Bertholet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Les diables noirs defense, Augusto Vieri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martial Laude. The Les diables noirs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martial Laude should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute Augusto Vieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martial Laude saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Vieri in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martial Laude saved Les diables noirs from getting behind. Martial Laude came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gonzo Style f.c's Augusto Vieri. But to his dismay, Augusto Vieri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. A collision led to Gonzo Style f.c getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Enrico Tassotti hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Vieri was the one to do the kick off. Sam Bertholet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sam Bertholet in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Federico Marsilio saved Gonzo Style f.c from getting behind. In the 57th minute, Augusto Vieri reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Martial Laude. The goal made the score 1-4. Les diables noirs's Martial Laude proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Les diables noirs from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Vieri got free with Martial Laude in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 73 minutes, Fabien Dol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Les diables noirs and the Gonzo Style f.c players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabien Dol kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Les diables noirs's Martial Laude proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Les diables noirs from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, Mario Vauzelle notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Gonzo Style f.c's Federico Marsilio. Federico Marsilio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diego Staniscia charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Staniscia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diego Staniscia hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Oscar Carrière managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Les diables noirs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Carrière was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fulvio Chiavetta hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 89thth minute of the game Augusto Vieri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Les diables noirs's Martial Laude was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Gonzo Style f.c supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gonzo Style f.c would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
