The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gustave Degrémont received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Valérien Combettes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cesate. In the 9th minute Mathis Robles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Carciofo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Djimmy Bonnefont fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fierce's protests and gave Djimmy Bonnefont a yellow card for diving instead. 19 minutes into the game, Frank Magliocco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Valérien Combettes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mathis Robles's late challenge caught a Cesate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathis Robles helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Fierce getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Mathis Robles hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Claudio Manzoni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cesate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The supporters of Cesate booed when Fierce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathis Robles didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Djimmy Bonnefont made a kick off. Valérien Combettes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Manzoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. If Carter Cavallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Youssef Couffin during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Claudio Manzoni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cesate's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Manzoni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valérien Combettes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valérien Combettes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cesate fully deserved thier win.
