Helmuth Duckadam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Atroce, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marin Duna in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filippo Antenucci saved Stintino FC from getting behind. RO Army V55 were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Stintino FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Markos Kokotoulis took the corner. Markos Kokotoulis made a great header on RO Army V55's corner, it was just that Stintino FC's Filippo Antenucci managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 34 minutes, Giannis Katsadramis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RO Army V55's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giannis Katsadramis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alessandro Carbonetti made a kick off. Dimitris Kantartzis's late challenge caught a Stintino FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dimitris Kantartzis helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in RO Army V55's zone, Alessandro Carbonetti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helmuth Duckadam came out of the goal and Alessandro Carbonetti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. RO Army V55's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
