Joey Vacheron hit a great ball. In the 19th minute of the match Beppe Bordon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joey Costa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 24thth minute of the game Erwann Patrice who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Aquile Azzurre's Fulvio Gabriele was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Cosa nostra Lyon's Vivien Contant made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fulvio Gabriele was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goal looked a bit too open when Fulvio Cugini came free, but Joey Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cosa nostra Lyon booed when FC Aquile Azzurre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Nelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Firmin Noury was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cosa nostra Lyon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Aquile Azzurre the free kick. After 34 played minutes Cosa nostra Lyon got a freekick which was hit by Firmin Noury. A collision led to FC Aquile Azzurre getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Miro Klose hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Fulvio Cugini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erwann Patrice scored 3-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fulvio Gabriele, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fulvio Gabriele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosa nostra Lyon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The FC Aquile Azzurre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulvio Gabriele should have stopped the shot. Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu's late challenge caught a FC Aquile Azzurre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cosa nostra Lyon's Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu got a free kick in the 87th minute. Joey Vacheron hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cosa nostra Lyon fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Aquile Azzurre had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
