Saronida FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richard Gaillet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Saronida FC's Panos Siafakas got a free kick in the 9th minute. Omer Grosse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakis Tzorvas in the 12th minute of play. Minas Rodanakis's late challenge caught a Elegance Dijon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Minas Rodanakis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Saronida FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Minas Rodanakis hit a great ball. When Elegance Dijon's Lamine Valente in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saronida FC's goalie prevented a goal. Hugo Châtelin hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Saronida FC's Vlassis Giannoglou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Saronida FC from getting a goal against them. Vlassis Giannoglou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathieu Gaud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vlassis Giannoglou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Gaillet, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The coaching staff of Saronida FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Panos Siafakas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Saronida FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Panos Siafakas hit a great ball. Elegance Dijon's Richard Gaillet got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Sakis Tzorvas made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Elegance Dijon's goalkeeper Omer Grosse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Minas Rodanakis. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brendan Menguy in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vlassis Giannoglou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 63 played minutes Elegance Dijon got a freekick which was hit by Marco Vandamme. In the 65th match minute, Elegance Dijon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Vandamme to maneuver through the defense. When Saronida FC's Sakis Tzorvas in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Elegance Dijon booed when Saronida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markos Renieris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brendan Menguy, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamine Valente in the 84th minute of play forced Saronida FC's goalkeeper Vlassis Giannoglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 minutes of play, Elegance Dijon's Lamine Valente made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vlassis Giannoglou was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Elegance Dijon were the better team. Elegance Dijon's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
