The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the game, Antonello Desiderio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Leonidas Eleftherakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fausto Preuss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonello Desiderio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonidas Eleftherakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kerkyra FC's Takis Kanavidis got a free kick in the 30th minute. Leonidas Eleftherakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Preuss went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Beppe Napoleone's late challenge caught a Kerkyra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beppe Napoleone helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Coriano FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Beppe Napoleone hit a great ball. Leonidas Eleftherakis came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Coriano FC's Carmine Cancemi. But to his dismay, Carmine Cancemi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The Kerkyra FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coriano FC were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonello Desiderio to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Antonello Desiderio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amedeo Bolognini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giorgos Maragozis, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Leonidas Eleftherakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Preuss went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Kerkyra FC's Leonidas Eleftherakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Preuss in the 70th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beppe Napoleone got free with Leonidas Eleftherakis in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Carmine Cancemi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Coriano FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
