A collision led to Tagamanent CD getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Vigil Cruz hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the game, Olívio Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Pontassolense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tagamanent CD the free kick. After 5 played minutes AD Pontassolense got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Neiva. Jesualdo Maltez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celestino Martinez in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute Álvaro Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juanito Cortes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tagamanent CD's Vigil Cruz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for AD Pontassolense. Herberto Meireles scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juanito Cortes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the game, Herberto Meireles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Juanito Cortes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juanito Cortes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herberto Meireles in the 21st minute of play. Juanito Cortes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Álvaro Carvalho went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute, Segundo Ribas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herberto Meireles in the 28th minute of play forced Tagamanent CD's goalkeeper Juanito Cortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Martinezs short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Jesualdo Maltez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Herberto Meireles took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juanito Cortes. Juanito Cortes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Juanito Cortes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Carvalho in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Tagamanent CD's goal looked a bit too open when Herberto Meireles came free, but Juanito Cortes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Tagamanent CD defense, Olívio Neiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juanito Cortes. The Tagamanent CD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juanito Cortes should have stopped the shot. Juanito Cortes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olívio Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Juanito Cortes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amável Bettencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amável Bettencourt didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 60th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Amável Bettencourt ran dejectedly back to his position. Juanito Cortes made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Herberto Meireles sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute Olívio Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juanito Cortes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Tagamanent CD's goalkeeper Juanito Cortes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Álvaro Carvalho. AD Pontassolense played a much better game than Tagamanent CD and deserved their victory. The Tagamanent CD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
