After having played for 2 minutes, Ronaldo Espírito Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altamora FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Espírito Santo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5th minute, Rui Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laureano Maltez hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, VB-Team's Telmo Bulhosa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind António Tinoco. António Tinoco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Valter Prada fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VB-Team's protests and gave Valter Prada a yellow card for diving instead. Leandro Barcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintino Viveiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the game, VB-Team's Luís Caeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. António Tinoco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 19th minute, Luís Caeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Durval Póvoas got free with António Tinoco in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leandro Barcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Medeiros in the 30th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Altamora FC defense, Telmo Bulhosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Tinoco. The Altamora FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Tinoco should have stopped the shot. Leandro Barcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quintino Viveiros in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes of play, Altamora FC's Manuel Vigário made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leandro Barcelos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st minute, Ronaldo Espírito Santo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Altamora FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Durval Póvoas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. António Tinoco came out and tried to block the shot, but Durval Póvoas slotted it home off the left post making it 5-2 in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-2.

The wind increased when Jacinto Moutinho made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Altamora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laureano Maltez to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the game, Luís Caeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. António Tinoco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luís Caeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Ronaldo Espírito Santo took a quick shot and it went in 6-3 without a chance for Leandro Barcelos to make any attempt to save it. After 63 played minutes Altamora FC got a freekick which was hit by João Candeias. Altamora FC's António Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Caeiro in the 67th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Caeiro in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Tinoco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ronaldo Espírito Santo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Ronaldo Espírito Santo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VB-Team's Leandro Barcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quintino Viveiros in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Luís Caeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-3. António Tinoco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leandro Barcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quintino Viveiros in the 91st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Altamora FC defense, Luís Caeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Tinoco. The Altamora FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Tinoco should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The VB-Team fans cheered their team off the field, for while Altamora FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
