After some careless play in the Downchester City defense, Gaspar Gago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xepe Gandia. The Downchester City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xepe Gandia should have stopped the shot. Xepe Gandia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Graziani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Flavio Graziani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Xepe Gandia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Cordeiro in the 20th minute of play forced Downchester City's goalkeeper Xepe Gandia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Beatriz 08 getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Oso Cienfuegos hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Márcio Cordeiro in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xepe Gandia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes into the game, Teo Pacheco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Downchester City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Beatriz 08 the free kick. After 30 played minutes Downchester City got a freekick which was hit by Teo Pacheco. 32 minutes into the match, FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Abel Meira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Javi Sanchez. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaspar Gago during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Beatriz 08 getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Gaspar Gago hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, António Lessa notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Downchester City's Xepe Gandia. Xepe Gandia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavio Graziani in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xepe Gandia saved Downchester City from getting behind. Xepe Gandia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Lessa in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute FC Beatriz 08 were awarded a corner. Oso Cienfuegos went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Oso Cienfuegos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Xepe Gandia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Downchester City booed when FC Beatriz 08 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Lessa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

If Sergio Oliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 57th minute, Flavio Graziani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Márcio Cordeiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Xepe Gandia could save by the left post. In the 62nd match minute, FC Beatriz 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Lessa to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Downchester City getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Denis Montiel hit a great ball. In the 71st minute Javi Sanchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Marques in the 73rd minute of play forced FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Abel Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paco Trujillo in the 75th minute of the match. Downchester City's Xepe Gandia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Graziani in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Beatriz 08's Geraldo Poças got a free kick in the 80th minute. Ismael Marques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Meira having to make a save. A collision led to FC Beatriz 08 getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Rui Ferrão hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Marques in the 93rd minute of play forced FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Abel Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Downchester City lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
