After 11 played minutes, Viseu United's Alcides Antas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Ballesteros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Viseu United reached it. In the 12th minute, Amado Salazar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Ballesteros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Amado Salazar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Ballesteros. Aguas Nuevas CD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amado Salazar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 18th minute, Alcides Antas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alcides Antas struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. José Ballesteros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viseu United. Alcides Antas scored 0-3 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Ballesteros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 28 minutes of play, Viseu United's Alcides Antas made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Ballesteros was left in no man's land by his defense there! José Solo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Aguas Nuevas CD! Amado Salazar scored 0-6 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Ballesteros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aguas Nuevas CD's José Ballesteros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Salazar in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Viseu United's Alcides Antas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Ballesteros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. In the 44th minute, Alcides Antas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Viseu United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Amado Salazar took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Ballesteros. José Ballesteros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-9 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aquilino Contratas to strike the kick off in the second half. When Amado Salazar came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Viseu United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Salazar couldn't finish the play. Viseu United made a substitution. Ziemowit Gdowski replaced Amado Salazar. José Ballesteros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ziemowit Gdowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 88th minute, Ziemowit Gdowski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Ballesteros. The goal made the score 0-15. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Ziemowit Gdowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viseu United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ziemowit Gdowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Ballesteros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, Aguas Nuevas CD's goal looked a bit too open when Alcides Antas came free, but José Ballesteros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute Isauro Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Txindoki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Ballesteros was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and David Moreira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. David Moreira really showed his touch with that goal: 0-16.
