The supporters of ФК Фанагория booed when FC VERSHINA’dnipro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Volodymyr Ovcharenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Volodymyr Ovcharenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rio Ferdinand in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Velichko Mitrakiev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When FC VERSHINA’dnipro's Rio Ferdinand, in the 16th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. The ФК Фанагория fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The ФК Фанагория fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when ФК Фанагория's Kostadin Punev looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 38thth minute of the game Kostadin Punev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC VERSHINA’dnipro's Edvin van der Sar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When ФК Фанагория's Kostadin Punev, in the 38th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for ФК Фанагория. Rio Ferdinand hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The FC VERSHINA’dnipro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ФК Фанагория were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Galin Tzarvulkov made the kick off in the second half. FC VERSHINA’dnipro's Edvin van der Sar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save FC VERSHINA’dnipro from getting a goal against them. Edvin van der Sar was a little too slow when Galin Tzarvulkov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 75th minute Volodymyr Ovcharenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Velichko Mitrakiev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvin van der Sar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kostadin Punev's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Velichko Mitrakiev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Volodymyr Ovcharenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The ФК Фанагория supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ФК Фанагория would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
