The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edelényi Bányász's Guo Jing Yuan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 12th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Guo Jing Yuan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Đuro Brezović skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gondor FC™'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Károly Sándor was slow to take the kick. During this time Edelényi Bányász's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Edelényi Bányász's corner Károly Sándor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Đuro Brezović quite easily take care of the ball. In the 21st minute, Kliment Frontov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Márk Kuti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Đuro Brezović made a huge save. Gondor FC™'s Đuro Brezović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Gondor FC™ from getting a goal against them. Pál Dankó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Safet Sušić in the 27th minute of play. Pál Dankó showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from King Thorin in the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, Gondor FC™'s Đuro Brezović got control of the ball when Iván Cordoba tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siniša Mihajlović got free with Đuro Brezović in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Edelényi Bányász getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Siniša Mihajlović hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers King Thorin in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pál Dankó saved Edelényi Bányász from getting behind. When Todor Kožica came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Gondor FC™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Todor Kožica couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a little luck, Edelényi Bányász's Pál Dankó got control of the ball when Hamid Hamedović tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the last second Pál Dankó throw himself and got hold of the ball when Safet Sušić in the 57thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Gondor FC™ made a substitution. Bard Bowman replaced King Thorin. After 60 played minutes Gondor FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Slobodan Horoz. In the 60th minute, Slobodan Horoz fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Edelényi Bányász's Lukács Sóti was substituted for Kliment Frontov. Slobodan Horoz hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Đuro Brezović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márk Kuti in the 65th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Sredoje Hazimović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gondor FC™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Sredoje Hazimović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pál Dankó breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the game, Hamid Hamedović recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pál Dankó. Hamid Hamedović showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Pál Dankó took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamid Hamedović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guo Jing Yuan hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Pál Dankó made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hamid Hamedović in the 91st minute. Sredoje Hazimović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hamid Hamedović who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Pál Dankó when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
