The Atlético de Blumenau fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Atlético de Blumenau's Tomás Turban looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 15th minute, Tomás Turban got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Turban might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osmar Braga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Turban ran back to his position shaking his head. Osmar Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Turban in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Atlético de Blumenau booed when União Barbarense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 minutes of play, Atlético de Blumenau's Tomás Turban made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osmar Braga was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Turban in the 31st minute of play forced União Barbarense's goalkeeper Osmar Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Jânio Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, União Barbarense's goalkeeper Osmar Braga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Turban. Tomás Turban could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Osmar Braga made a huge save. In the 76th minute, Atlético de Blumenau's Tomás Turban ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Osmar Braga. Osmar Braga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Tomás Turban took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Osmar Braga to make any attempt to save it. Tomás Turban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Atlético de Blumenau's Osmar Braga threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomás Turban, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Turban got free with Osmar Braga in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 90 minutes, Cléber Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético de Blumenau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléber Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Arnaldo Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Turban took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osmar Braga. Osmar Braga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. Atlético de Blumenau played a much better game than União Barbarense and deserved their victory. The União Barbarense players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
