The referee gave MDS Soccer Club a penalty, 3 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by José Maria Mineiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SANTOS F.C's Benno Sangrigoli. 0-1. Erivaldo Severo took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benno Sangrigoli. Benno Sangrigoli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 18 minutes into the match, SANTOS F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Severo came free, but Benno Sangrigoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, SANTOS F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Lukasz Gmoch came free, but Benno Sangrigoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Mário de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Armando de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. SANTOS F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Erivaldo Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Erivaldo Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MDS Soccer Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erivaldo Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Lukasz Gmoch notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of SANTOS F.C's Benno Sangrigoli. Benno Sangrigoli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Artur Romero managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when SANTOS F.C's Nilton Sá fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando de Andrade to make the kick off. If Armando de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erivaldo Severo charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erivaldo Severo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando de Andrade in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artur Romero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erivaldo Severo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Benno Sangrigoli 66 minutes into the match. A collision led to MDS Soccer Club getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ricardinho da Silva hit a great ball. SANTOS F.C's Nilton Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Maria Mineiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Benno Sangrigoli made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Erivaldo Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot. MDS Soccer Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Erivaldo Severo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benno Sangrigoli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 86 minutes into the game, Sydney Leme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SANTOS F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MDS Soccer Club the free kick. In the 86th minute, Sydney Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Lukasz Gmoch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 95 played minutes MDS Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Mineiro. The MDS Soccer Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MDS Soccer Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
