After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Gernando Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tigre das Américas's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agostinho Vianna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agostinho Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egídio Macedo in the 34th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Nordestão Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Lima came free, but Agostinho Vianna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Egídio Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabrício Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Agostinho Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Tigre das Américas were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Genílson Lucas made the kick off in the second half. Nordestão Futebol Clube's Agostinho Vianna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Macedo in the 50th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tigre das Américas's Luís Guilherme Pimenta got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Agostinho Vianna didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Tigre das Américas's Fabrício Lima shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Genílson Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tigre das Américas's Fabrício Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chicão Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genílson Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrício Lima got free with Agostinho Vianna in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Gernando Cruz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Agostinho Vianna, passed just outside the right post. 87 minutes into the game, Egídio Macedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Agostinho Vianna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Nordestão Futebol Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tigre das Américas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
