The referee ignored Alvinegro de Tupã's protests and gave José Vítor de Sena a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 23 minutes, Yuri Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nordestão Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yuri Vinhas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Jano Simões notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Nordestão Futebol Clube's Agostinho Vianna. Agostinho Vianna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rdth minute of the game Arnaldo Fantini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nordestão Futebol Clube's Agostinho Vianna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Alvinegro de Tupã fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Alvinegro de Tupã's Arnaldo Fantini looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dinei Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Vinhas in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnaldo Fantini was the one to do the kick off. Alvinegro de Tupã's Dinei Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Alvinegro de Tupã from getting a goal against them. Dinei Moraes made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Yuri Vinhas sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Yuri Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nordestão Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Vinhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 79 played minutes Alvinegro de Tupã got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor de Sena.
