Carmo De Kiev's Emerson Prado couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Umbrella Futebol Clube. Walmir Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Freitas in the 5th minute of the match. If Jean Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emerson Prado got free with Walmir Borges in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Walmir Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Freitas in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Umbrella Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Bebeto Cearense hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Umbrella Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Walmir Borges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emerson Prado. José Carlos Recife who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Walmir Borges when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 38 minutes into the game, Umbrella Futebol Clube's Bebeto Cearense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laerte de Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ivo Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Umbrella Futebol Clube's Ivo Oliveira got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th match minute, Umbrella Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego de Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Carmo De Kiev's goalkeeper Laerte de Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laerte de Barros came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Umbrella Futebol Clube's Bebeto Cearense. But to his dismay, Bebeto Cearense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Prado in the 58th minute of play forced Umbrella Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Walmir Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdir Andrade hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Wilton Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Carmo De Kiev's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilton Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute, Valdir Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdir Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivo Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivo Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alex Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Walmir Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Prado in the 90th minute of the match.
