Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aílton de Queirós took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to SE Palestra Itália getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Roger Pombal hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Dadá da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Premier FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dadá da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Pedro Valadares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 12 played minutes SE Palestra Itália got a freekick which was hit by Roger Pombal. 16 minutes into the match, Premier FC's goalkeeper Ernani Xavier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabiano Velloso. Isaltino Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Isaltino Penha might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernani Xavier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaltino Penha ran back to his position shaking his head. Ernani Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaltino Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SE Palestra Itália's Zé Pedro Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá da Costa in the 34th minute of play. After some careless play in the SE Palestra Itália defense, Aílton de Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Pedro Valadares. The SE Palestra Itália fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Pedro Valadares should have stopped the shot. SE Palestra Itália's Zé Pedro Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton de Queirós in the 42nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaltino Penha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SE Palestra Itália's Zé Pedro Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton de Queirós in the 52nd minute of play. When Premier FC's Oswaldo Alvarenga in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SE Palestra Itália's goalie prevented a goal. If Isaltino Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dadá da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Aílton de Queirós kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zé Pedro Valadares. That made the score 0-3 in the 59 minute of play. Isaltino Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 played minutes Premier FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Netto. The audience was convinced that Aílton de Queirós's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Pedro Valadares was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Isaltino Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ernani Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes in the game Pedro Luiz Netto did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Oswaldo Alvarenga. Alexandre Teixeira hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
