Iuri de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Enio da Cunha was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 54 minutes had been played. Iuri de Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafinha Batista's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. 93 minutes into the game, Olavo Pitta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S S Palestra Italia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden State Warriors the free kick. After 93 played minutes S S Palestra Italia got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Pitta. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Rezende got free with Gustavo Fernandes in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
