In the 43rd minute, Tiago Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Faustão Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cléberson Leme to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Chiquinho Sergipano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustão Gaspar was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamim Medeiros got free with Faustão Gaspar in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute, Gildo Sá fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Faustão Gaspar, passed just outside the right post. Chiquinho Sergipano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Aguinhas defense, Anselmo Carioca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Faustão Gaspar. The Aguinhas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faustão Gaspar should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute, Mestre GG's Oswaldo Dracena dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After 74 played minutes Aguinhas got a freekick which was hit by Jailson Carvalho. In the 74th minute, Benjamim Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamim Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Faustão Gaspar made a huge save. After 79 played minutes Mestre GG got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Paes. Mestre GG's Oswaldo Dracena suffered a sore thigh after 79 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 79 minutes into the game, Olívio Donatello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aguinhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mestre GG the free kick. Mestre GG's Romário Seco was substituted for Oswaldo Dracena. After a rather tough play, Aguinhas's Olívio Donatello got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Ruy Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamim Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Faustão Gaspar made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chiquinho Sergipano in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustão Gaspar saved Aguinhas from getting behind. Faustão Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faustão Gaspar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamim Medeiros in the 88th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mestre GG eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
