Telmo Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Giuseppe Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Arnaldo Porto scored to the left of an out of position Mauro de Salles, making the score, 2-0. 21 minutes into the match, Giuseppe Perez notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mauro de Salles. Mauro de Salles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samurai Champions FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Telmo Barbosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 34th minute, Giuseppe Perez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro de Salles was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Mauro de Salles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giuseppe Perez in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the match, Giuseppe Perez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mauro de Salles, 5-1. Giuseppe Perez struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Mauro de Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samurai Champions FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Telmo Barbosa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Samurai Champions FC's goalkeeper Diego Alves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 55 played minutes Samurai Champions FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Porto. Telmo Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Diego Alves made a huge save. After 60 minutes of play, Samurai Champions FC's Tony Viana made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro de Salles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Samurai Champions FC's Alex Toledo was substituted for Arnaldo Porto. Mauro de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Toledo in the 71st minute of the match. Horácio Simão's late challenge caught a Samurai Champions FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horácio Simão helped the player get up and apologised. Telmo Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Diego Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Giuseppe Perez notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mauro de Salles. Mauro de Salles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
