When Lino Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curucamba's protests and gave Lino Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Curucamba's Lino Toledo got a free kick in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Recife in the 95th minute of play forced Curucamba's goalkeeper João Carlos Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Curucamba.
