Marcelo Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Régis de Andrade in the 19th minute of the match. Marcelo Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Joélson Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Cléber Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Minuano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- the free kick. In the 32nd minute Romário Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lauro Torres made a kick off. Atlético Minuano's Joélson Soeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jarbas Sanches made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lauro Torres in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute, Lauro Torres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarbas Sanches was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Torres in the 85th minute of play forced Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Jarbas Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
