Bandelocos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scarlet Speedster the free kick. Scarlet Speedster's Jorginho Peres was substituted for Lino Paiva. In the 5th minute, Léo de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacinto Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Léo de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Víktor Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Di Maria came free, but Dráuzio Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Bandelocos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Battal Cüneyt İlbaşı to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Acácio Hoffmann hit a great ball. Sadri Sanal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Scarlet Speedster booed when Bandelocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dráuzio Borges made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Alfredinho Amaral sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the match, Alfredinho Amaral notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bandelocos's Dráuzio Borges. Dráuzio Borges was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Gustavo Urbano charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Gustavo Urbano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdir Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Jacinto Rocha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antônio Carlos Reis. Jonas Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Antônio Carlos Reis got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ezequiel Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, John Weeke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scarlet Speedster's supporters rose to their feet, but John Weeke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dráuzio Borges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dráuzio Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Weeke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Sadri Sanal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacinto Rocha. That made the score 2-1 in the 62 minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Scarlet Speedster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Peres to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the game, Víktor Vergílio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dráuzio Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acácio Hoffmann in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredinho Amaral came free, but Dráuzio Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute John Weeke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bandelocos's Dráuzio Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Weeke in the 94th minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Alfredinho Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scarlet Speedster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredinho Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Scarlet Speedster fully deserved thier win.
