Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Victor Munhoz started the match with the kick off. A hard shot 2 in the game by Dráusio Porto from a close distance when the talented Romeu Souto managed to make a qualified save. Corinthians's players were relieved. Romeu Souto was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Victor Munhoz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Victor Munhoz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The supporters of Buritama Sports booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match, Dráusio Porto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Romeu Souto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Corinthians's Luís Fernando Guedes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Diguinho Velloso in the 25 minute of the game. Wanderson Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Urbano in the 27th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Munhoz in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeu Souto saved Corinthians from getting behind. Buritama Sports were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Corinthians's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ronaldão Valadares took the corner. In the 42ndth minute of the game Victor Munhoz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corinthians's Romeu Souto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Romeu Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Munhoz in the 45th minute of play. Fernandinho Urbano hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernandinho Urbano made a kick off. Romeu Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Munhoz in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 56 minutes, Alessandro Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buritama Sports's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessandro Félix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dráusio Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Souto having to interfere. Corinthians's Romeu Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráusio Porto in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Luís Fernando Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute, Diguinho Velloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeu Souto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.
