October 04's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fiori Palmeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Waldir Ferraz sped through October 04's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Narciso Guimarães. Tomé Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Planet Caravan's Enrique de Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Narciso Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldir Ferraz to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, October 04's Angelo Barbosa got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 53rd minute Planet Caravan were awarded a corner. Ademir de Amorim went to the cornerflag to take it. Enrique de Medeiros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Narciso Guimarães skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Waldir Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Aguiar in the 68th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Enrique de Medeiros could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Narciso Guimarães however easily saved by the left post. October 04 made a substitution. Mário Pena hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, October 04's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori Palmeira came free, but Narciso Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique de Medeiros in the 95th minute of the match. The Planet Caravan players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
