Independente AC's João Adolfo Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Montenegro in the 4th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Fernando Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Edmílson Lara fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Edmílson Lara hit a great ball. Sydney Bittencourt made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Hugo Bastos sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Rodriguinho Mendonça got a free kick in the 17th minute. Wellington Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Bastos was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s goal looked a bit too open when Dida Coelho came free, but Sydney Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes Independente AC got a freekick which was hit by Dida Coelho. The Independente AC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
