The audience thought a goal was coming when Dé Amaral got free with Diguinho Nóbrega in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Pinheiro during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cafu Silveira in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wágner Seco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. PIRATAS TFP's Thomás Domingues quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Severino Pinheiro, made in the 67th minute of the game. Diguinho Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmir Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cafu Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Seco having to interfere. Artur de Sena was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. The supporters of Brasiliense FC booed when PIRATAS TFP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cafu Silveira scored 2-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wágner Seco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cafu Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Seco having to interfere. Brasiliense FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
