The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Nardo during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Quitilipi booed when Vitricidas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Nardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Vitricidas's Benicio Romo got a free kick in the 19th minute. Vitricidas's Fabricio Romildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Silvanito in the 26th minute of play. Fabricio Romildo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guaberto Kauldi's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. If Benicio Romo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Arsenio Celino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Hector Silvanito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabricio Romildo. Vitricidas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Silvanito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Fabricio Romildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Silvanito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benicio Romo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Ramond having to interfere.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 58 minutes into the game, when Hernan Mikeldi put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Vitricidas getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Hernan Mikeldi hit a great ball. Quitilipi's Hector Silvanito couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vitricidas. Vitricidas's Fabricio Romildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Silvanito in the 61st minute of play. In the 66th minute, Hector Silvanito reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabricio Romildo. The goal made the score 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Silvanito in the 69th minute of play forced Vitricidas's goalkeeper Fabricio Romildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quitilipi were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Vitricidas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hector Silvanito took the corner. The excitement rose when Vitricidas's Melquiades Boniel after 73 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Quitilipi's goalkeeper to hold. Ramon Egoi's late challenge caught a Quitilipi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramon Egoi helped the player get up and apologised. Ramon Egoi kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When the match was over Quitilipi could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vitricidas throughout the match.
