Abel Jacindo started the match with the kick off. Gerardo Gasteiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodoro Frechoso having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Gasteiz got free with Teodoro Frechoso in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, Chacarita Jrs's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Gasteiz came free, but Teodoro Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Chacarita Jrs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Esdras to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Isaac Esdras notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gordioro Futbol Club's Eleuterio Igon. Eleuterio Igon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gerardo Gasteiz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Teodoro Frechoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, Chacarita Jrs's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Intxixu came free, but Teodoro Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Gordioro Futbol Club's Teodoro Frechoso threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mauro Intxixu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 36th minute, Domingo Diaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Gasteiz got free with Teodoro Frechoso in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luisito Papo charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisito Papo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Chacarita Jrs getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Luisito Papo hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerardo Gasteiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Jacindo got free with Eleuterio Igon in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
