The audience was convinced that Eduardo Odon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eleuterio Pagomari was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Odon made a kick off. Eduardo Odon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eleuterio Pagomari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Eduardo Odon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Eleuterio Pagomari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cardiff City FC's Isaac Abajas got a free kick in the 61st minute. The supporters of Cardiff City FC booed when Il Catenaccio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Mitxaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Pagomari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Oliveiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Ramon Orixe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Odon struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Eleuterio Pagomari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardiff City FC.
