In the 7th match minute, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Gutierrez to maneuver through the defense. Iker Froila stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector Ignatius's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 13 minutes into the match, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper Agustín Brei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Santana. 14 minutes into the match, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Ignacio Afonso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iker Froila narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iker Froila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Ignatius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Cordeal in the 22nd minute of play forced ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper Agustín Brei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Zeledon Gutierrez got a free kick in the 24th minute. Agustín Brei was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eliseo Etor. Domingo Lleir hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Agustín Brei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Cordeal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s zone, Hector Ignatius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Froila came out of the goal and Hector Ignatius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 31 played minutes ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Katia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Ignatius in the 39th minute of play forced Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s goalkeeper Iker Froila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute of the match ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ got a corner. Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hector Ignatius ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hector Ignatius made a great header on ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's corner, it was just that Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s Iker Froila managed to reach the ball for a save. When Hector Ignatius came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Ignatius couldn't finish the play. After the first half ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hector Ignatius to make the kick off. Rafael Cordeal hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Hector Ignatius got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseo Etor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Agustín Brei having to make a save. Rafael Cordeal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iker Froila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Ignatius in the 63rd minute of the match. After having played for 65 minutes, Hector Ignatius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Ignatius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s Iker Froila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Ignatius in the 68th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Guido Cristofol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 played minutes Vamos Los Pibes!!!! got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Bartoli. In the 80th minute, Adrian Katia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s Iker Froila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Ignatius in the 83rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaston Santana during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
