A collision led to Kalessin getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Co Gøte hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Co Gøte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Hermo got free with Raul Santxol in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Co Gøte kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Raimundo Aznaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Vermudo in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Co Gøte in the 45th minute of play forced AZURDUY F.C.'s goalkeeper Raul Santxol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ildefonso Vermudo was the one to do the kick off.
