Vancouver Reds's Jerry Lawler couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Santos FC. A collision led to Vancouver Reds getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bradley Ferrell hit a great ball. Reuben Bunch hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Rodrick Orlinsky managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrick Orlinsky was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bradley Ferrell took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Desmond Rowell. Desmond Rowell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 32nd minute, Rodrick Orlinsky got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giuseppe Jewell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Blake Vogt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Bradley Ferrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Frankie Carnes notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Santos FC's Desmond Rowell. Desmond Rowell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Blake Vogt didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Santos FC's Rodrick Orlinsky shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reuben Bunch in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Desmond Rowell saved Santos FC from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Rodrick Orlinsky got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 86th minute Frankie Carnes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desmond Rowell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Desmond Rowell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chang Beckman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
