In the 25th minute, Carlos José Opazo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvio Morelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos José Opazo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liga de Quito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stojan Krhan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Silvio Morelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos José Opazo in the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baumar Ontanilla to make the kick off. Silvio Morelo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos José Opazo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 52 minute of play. Silvio Morelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaume Labarca in the 54th minute of the match. If Zilar Barcena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
