Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The supporters of River CBBA booed when Inter de Guayaquil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan-Alfredo Guceño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Torne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Houseman in the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Artur Abechuco got a free kick in the 16th minute. A collision led to River CBBA getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Reinaldo Merlo hit a great ball. Mauro Torne made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Leopoldo Luque sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Alarcón Mallavia got a free kick in the 26th minute. When He Yi came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the River CBBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that He Yi couldn't finish the play. River CBBA's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toro Martínez in the 31st minute of play. River CBBA's Leopoldo Luque was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Leopoldo Luque might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Torne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Luque ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 41st minute Rene Houseman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Torne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leopoldo Luque was the one to do the kick off. Rene Houseman took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauro Torne. Mauro Torne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, River CBBA's Tobias Abarca got a free kick in the 58th minute. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Juan-Alfredo Guceño. Toro Martínez's late challenge caught a River CBBA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toro Martínez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Toro Martínez got a free kick in the 61st minute. Mauro Torne didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rene Houseman went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Inter de Guayaquil FC made a substitution. Blanco Lambarida replaced Toro Martínez. Blanco Lambarida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauro Torne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Houseman in the 74th minute of play. Tobias Abarca's late challenge caught a Inter de Guayaquil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauro Torne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 84th minute Leopoldo Luque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Torne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Houseman scored 5-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Torne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Blanco Lambarida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ubaldo Matildo Fillol having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blanco Lambarida in the 92nd minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Fillol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that River CBBA were the better team. River CBBA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
