In the 5th minute, Orlando Ramírez fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 7th match minute, Socavon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Puget to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Buenaventura FC defense, Ferran Rial kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Oberto. The Buenaventura FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Oberto should have stopped the shot. Ferran Rial took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Oberto. Jorge Oberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Giuseppe Baresi fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Socavon FC's protests and gave Giuseppe Baresi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Socavon FC's Giuseppe Baresi got a free kick in the 14th minute. Hernan Dorronsoro took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Oberto. Jorge Oberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Dorronsoro in the 28th minute of play forced Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper Jorge Oberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julio De Diego was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio De Diego in the 53rd minute of play forced Socavon FC's goalkeeper Toni Schumacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Oberto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hernan Dorronsoro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 55 minute of play. A collision led to Socavon FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Hernan Dorronsoro hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julio De Diego in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toni Schumacher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes in the game, Julio De Diego dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Jorge Oberto was a little too slow when Hernan Dorronsoro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-7. Socavon FC made a substitution. Oxarra Guillemez replaced Hernan Dorronsoro. 70 minutes into the match, Santo Pablo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Oberto. Buenaventura FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santo Pablo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferran Rial got free with Jorge Oberto in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the game, Gualterio Rojo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Socavon FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buenaventura FC the free kick. In the 78th minute, Gualterio Rojo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Oberto made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Ferran Rial sent off a good shot on target. After 83 minutes, Julio De Diego mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buenaventura FC and the Socavon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Julio De Diego kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Oxarra Guillemez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Oberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Cheito Dely was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buenaventura FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Socavon FC the free kick. Cheito Dely hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Buenaventura FC's Jorge Oberto got control of the ball when Geleberto Monjo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andres Rios charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andres Rios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Buenaventura FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Andres Rios hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Oxarra Guillemez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Oberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Pablo in the 93rd minute of play forced Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper Jorge Oberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Oberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferran Rial in the 95th minute. When the match was over Socavon FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Buenaventura FC throughout the match.
