When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Elano Lobado sped through ForestFire's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reed Molina. Rozarius Sanjurjo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeffrey Yoshioka in the 18th minute of the match. If Elano Lobado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juango Baroja struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Reed Molina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Ortegano. Rozarius Sanjurjo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Britton, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25thth minute of the game Roman Britton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Ortegano's Rozarius Sanjurjo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute ForestFire were awarded a corner. Todd Mayes went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of ForestFire booed when Deportivo Ortegano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juango Baroja didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 played minutes Deportivo Ortegano got a freekick which was hit by Bartolome Villaseca. Phil Greene fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rozarius Sanjurjo having to interfere. The supporters of Deportivo Ortegano booed when ForestFire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sal Chamberlain didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iratze Arri in the 36th minute of play forced ForestFire's goalkeeper Reed Molina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rozarius Sanjurjo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamar Knapp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reed Molina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Gaig in the 40th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronald Vordenbäumen in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reed Molina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute, Russell Stinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 60 played minutes, Deportivo Ortegano's Iratze Arri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Reed Molina came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Ortegano reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Ronald Vordenbäumen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Ortegano's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronald Vordenbäumen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reed Molina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Deportivo Ortegano were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after ForestFire's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iratze Arri took the corner. Deportivo Ortegano's Jones Ice-Cream Guobadia was substituted for Elano Lobado. Jones Ice-Cream Guobadia's late challenge caught a ForestFire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jones Ice-Cream Guobadia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Jones Ice-Cream Guobadia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ForestFire's Reed Molina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Vordenbäumen in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Jones Ice-Cream Guobadia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Reed Molina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Deportivo Ortegano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of ForestFire for a fine match.
