The audience was convinced that Higinio Eate's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Estavan Virto was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Estavan Virto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Eate in the 17th minute of play. In the 25th minute Higinio Eate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Estavan Virto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cavaliers FC's Jaime Villegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Tejada in the 30th minute of play. After 34 played minutes Cavaliers FC got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Abalos. 37 minutes into the match, Cavaliers FC's Higinio Eate sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Estavan Virto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Estavan Virto came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cavaliers FC's Higinio Eate. But to his dismay, Higinio Eate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Higinio Eate stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Tabor Canillas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Villegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Eate came free, but Estavan Virto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Higinio Eate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Playa Malvín's much stronger midfield.
