The Old Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Savion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Homero Thomson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Vaca having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santa Luis in the 40th minute of play forced Kalatakaya F.C.'s goalkeeper Daniel Vaca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to The Old Boys getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jimeno Theodore hit a great ball. Homero Thomson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Daniel Vaca made a huge save. The Old Boys were furious when Aquilino Lauren was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Vinicio Bidari had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Maximiliano Abeijon's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Maximiliano Abeijon scored 1-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vinicio Bidari, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kalatakaya F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
