Spectators: 149 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Billy Dahlberg started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Olof Fribäck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sverker Lindgren. Gudhem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olof Fribäck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Asarum's Åke Ahlqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sverker Lindgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Lind in the 15th minute of play. If Billy Dahlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gudhem's Torsten Nordström got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Olof Fribäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Lindgren having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Gudhem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Askestät to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Gudhem getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Johnny Hultin hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Olov Lind notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren. Sverker Lindgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aaron Lindsten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olof Fribäck to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Bengt Jönsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Lindgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gudhem's Sverker Lindgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Gudhem from getting a goal against them. Sverker Lindgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Lind in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Asarum's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Dahlberg came free, but Kurt Vallengren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Gudhem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Dahlberg to maneuver through the defense. After 71 played minutes Asarum got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Jönsson. Olof Fribäck hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Åke Ahlqvist made in the 76th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aaron Lindsten immediately put the ball in play. Johnny Hultin charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johnny Hultin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kurt Vallengren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folke Fribäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goalkeeper Sverker Lindgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olov Lind. Sverker Lindgren made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Olof Fribäck sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Asarum left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gudhem.
