Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gösta Mattsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. With his leg Eddie Arvidsson managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Hartlepool's Thomas Helberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Ek in the 11th minute of play forced Hartlepool's goalkeeper Karl Stolpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Oskar Tunström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hartlepool's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oskar Tunström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erland Björkkvist in the 17th minute of play forced Al-Slottshöjden's goalkeeper Eddie Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Mattsson came free, but Karl Stolpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Hartlepool's Jack Kinnman seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jack Kinnman the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hartlepool protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jack Kinnman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Al-Slottshöjden booed when Hartlepool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Kinnman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evert Håkansson struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Karl Stolpe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al-Slottshöjden. In the 24th match minute, Hartlepool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Ove Alberg to maneuver through the defense. After 30 minutes of play, Al-Slottshöjden's Gösta Mattsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl Stolpe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gösta Mattsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Sven-Olof Odin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oskar Tunström made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gösta Mattsson in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl Stolpe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Åke Dalman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åke Dalman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Eddie Arvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Al-Slottshöjden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Ek to maneuver through the defense. Bertil Eckegren struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Karl Stolpe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al-Slottshöjden. The supporters of Al-Slottshöjden booed when Hartlepool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Ahlfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Gösta Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Stolpe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute Oskar Tunström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Arvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Al-Slottshöjden's goal looked a bit too open when Oskar Tunström came free, but Eddie Arvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oskar Tunström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Arvidsson having to interfere. A collision led to Hartlepool getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Eskil Larsfelt hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Åke Dalman notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Al-Slottshöjden's Eddie Arvidsson. Eddie Arvidsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Al-Slottshöjden's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
