The The Shadows fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when The Shadows's Ludwig Bock looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Liden FF's Gottfrid Jansson got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Liden FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Granqvist to maneuver through the defense. Elias Arhenius took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yngve Bäckström. Liden FF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, The Shadows's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Granqvist came free, but Jens Molander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Häll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yngve Bäckström having to interfere. Yngve Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Häll in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
