A wasted opportunity for CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA. Paul Jucu's late challenge caught a CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul Jucu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA booed when Club 23 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Jucu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandu Iacobescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gheorghe Iurea in the 10th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Club 23's goal looked a bit too open when Ioan Stanomir came free, but Augustin Tudoran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Petruescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sandu Iacobescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cătălin Ticulescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sandu Iacobescu. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Cosmin Vâtcu hit a great ball. Augustin Tudoran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Târcă in the 24th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Săndulescu to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Gheorghe Iurea made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Gabriel Tatu made a precise shot to the right of Sandu Iacobescu. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Gheorghe Iurea sped through CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sandu Iacobescu. Gabriel Tatu took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sandu Iacobescu. Sandu Iacobescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. The Club 23 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
