The supporters of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- booed when Cormoranii -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolae Drăgoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 minutes of play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Petre Benga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vasile Zgondea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vasile Zgondea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Benga in the 18th minute of play. After 22 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Panait Agrigoroaiei. 22 minutes into the match, Manuel Negru notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu. Valer Nuțu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vasile Zgondea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Bosioc in the 29th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petre Benga to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Răduțu in the 55th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Valer Nuțu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Negru in the 60th minute of play. Cormoranii -MM-'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Iordache Vuşcan scored to the left of an out of position Vasile Zgondea, making the score, 1-3. 65 minutes into the match, Cormoranii -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Bosioc came free, but Vasile Zgondea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Cormoranii -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costică Răduțu to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octav Puiu got free with Vasile Zgondea in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Damian Dănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Claudiu Bosioc hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Claudiu Bosioc made a precise shot to the right of Vasile Zgondea. Cormoranii -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Vasile Zgondea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Bosioc, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Vasile Zgondea came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Octav Puiu. But to his dismay, Octav Puiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Iordache Vuşcan got a free kick in the 88th minute. After 94 minutes of play, Cormoranii -MM-'s Eusebiu Godeanu made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valer Nuțu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
